Sweet girl Stella was commissioned by her proud and loving grandma. Initially, I didn't get her eyes quite right, so I set her aside for a few days, which gave me the distance needed to see that the proportions were wrong. I'm grateful when clients will work with me to tell me what's off. The painting is always the better for it, especially with feedback from loving family members who know the subject best.
